Estimated Program Costs

By law, students must show that they have the financial means to cover the entire cost of studying and living in the U.S. for the entire length of their program of study. All documentation must be in ENGLISH. Financial documentation submitted to another YU office will not be forwarded to or shared with the OISS. Students must submit the financial documentation requested in this I-20 application directly to the OISS.

  • SPECIAL CLEARANCE FROM THE OFFICE OF STUDENT FINANCE: Your I-20 will not be released until your first semester charges have been paid or a payment agreement has been signed and your account is cleared by the Office of Student Finance (OSF). OSF will automatically notify the OISS by email, once you complete this step. Please contact Ms. Ruth Lagares lagares@yu.edu to make these arrangements.

    EXPENSES:
The following budget is an estimate, based on an average undergraduate student enrolled full-time at Yeshiva University. Actual expenses may be slightly higher or lower, depending on where you live and your standard of living. This total is approximately $10,000 more than your YU invoice total, because it includes personal expenses not associated with the University. For the full tuition and fee schedule, please visit: https://www.yu.edu/osf/tuitionfees/undergraduate. Tuition and fees are subject to change at any time. Students must show financial support for no less than the annual amount estimated for their program of study.

Working inside the U.S. is severely restricted by U.S. immigration regulations. F-1 students must be able to show documentation proving their financial capability for the entire academic program. Do not plan on working inside the U.S. to help pay for your education!
